What does the Shutdown Readiness Assessment measure?

The assessment evaluates your organization across eight control domains: system inventory, independent authority, loss-of-control detection, graduated intervention, shutdown propagation, operational continuity, evidence preservation, and controlled recovery. Each domain is scored by three questions about your current capabilities.

No. This is an operational readiness assessment. It evaluates technical and organizational capabilities for AI shutdown. It does not constitute legal advice and does not determine compliance with any specific law or regulation, including the proposed AI Kill Switch Act.

Where are my answers stored?

Accepted Answer

Your answers are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. No data is transmitted to any server during the assessment. Only when you explicitly request an expert review on the results screen do we receive your summary score, readiness level, and top gap domains — never your individual question answers.

How long does the assessment take?

The assessment contains 24 questions across 8 domains and typically takes 5–8 minutes to complete. You can pause and return — your progress is saved in your browser.

What are the readiness levels?

Accepted Answer

There are five levels: Uncontrolled (0–20%), Partially controlled (21–40%), Operationally controlled (41–60%), Verifiably controlled (61–80%), and Continuously validated (81–100%). Each level reflects the breadth, maturity, and verification of your shutdown capabilities.

What happens after I complete the assessment?

You receive your overall score, per-domain breakdown, the three most urgent gaps with specific recommendations, and a suggested next action. You can optionally request an expert review, which shares only your summary (not individual answers) with our team for a follow-up conversation.
